Connections throughout your body

connection communication

An atom is one of the smallest constituent units of matter. It is made up of three distinct particles; protons, neutrons and electrons. An atom only exists, thanks to the ability of the aforementioned particles to connect with one another. Furthermore, an atom connects with another atom through a complex series of sharing the outer particles of the atom with a neighbouring atom. When there are enough atoms connected together, we begin to see a formation of matter. For example, the cells within our body.

A cell connects with its neighbouring cell through more complex biological equations until eventually, we begin to see the formation of something greater – an organ, muscle, gland, bone etc. A cell on its own is merely a cell. It’s when cells begin to communicate, that the magic begins.

When an organ begins to connect with it’s neighbouring organs, we again begin to see the formation of something greater – the entire human body, functioning harmoniously to allow us to flow through life, doing our thang. An organ on its own is merely an organ. It’s when organs begin to communicate, that the magic begins.

When a human begins to connect with its neighbouring humans, we once again begin to see the formation of something greater – a beautiful relationship is formed and the connection that we hold together, far surpluses a singular unit. A human on its own is merely a human. It’s when humans begin to communicate, that the magic begins.

As we can see, each of us is a result of a deep level of connection.

Each layer of connection and communication is vital for us to nurture, so that we may continue to live a life of magic and full potential. We must nurture our relationships, ourselves and our bodies. We can do so in the following ways:

  • Chemically, through what we breathe, ingest, touch.
  • Emotionally/Mentally, through our thoughts, beliefs, relationships.
  • Physically, through our structure, movement, habits.

It is also possible for us to engage in practices and activities that are detrimental to our bodies. We can overload it with stress at the same levels:

  • Chemically, through what we breathe, ingest, touch.
  • Emotionally/Mentally, through our thoughts, beliefs, relationships.
  • Physically, through our structure, movement, habits.

When there is an overload of stress on our bodies, one of the first disconnections we see is at the level of the nerve system.

The nerve system; the master connector of our bodies. The first system to develop in a growing foetus, and the only organ fully protected by bone, it is a vital component to ensuring our internal connections are functioning well.

The nerve system is comprised of the brain, the spinal cord and the branched nerves that exit the spinal cord and extend to all parts of our body. Every moment, our nerve systems are forming connections. At this moment in time, your nerve system is doing the following:

  • Connecting with your eyes, to read the words on this page.
  • Connecting with your muscles, to ensure you’re standing or sitting upright.
  • Connecting with your digestive tract, to digest that delicious smashed avo on toast.
  • Connecting with your heart, to ensure blood is pumping around your body.
  • Connecting with your lungs, to ensure oxygen is pumping around your body.

Ladies and gentlemen. This is merely the beginning. At the same time, your nerve system is co-ordinating your hormones, internal chemistry, regulating temperature, reading and adapting to your environment etc etc etc. The list goes ON and ON!! The connections almost seem to be endless.

Considering the importance of the nerve system in regulating so many connections throughout your body, it is essential that we take care of it. Chiropractors are the only professionals trained to specifically assess the nerve system, locate any disconnect through the nerve system and adjust the nerve system accordingly.

When we reconnect on a cellular and organ level, we are better equipped to reconnect with ourselves, others and our world.

Happy connecting!!

Yours in connectivity and connectitude,
