CCK’s CHRISTMAS CHARITY DRIVE
Goes Rural
Each Christmas we choose a family-based charity to support and this year we have decided to go back out to Dalby and it’s surrounding towns, who we last supported in 2019.
After a recent heart wrenching discussion with a local Dalby Charity group “Helping Hands”, we became aware of the desperate plight of local families affected by the extreme weather patterns that have ruined crop harvests, pushing, already struggling families, further back.
On top of that, the housing crisis is a major issue with an increasing number of families living in cars and tents. As you can imagine there is only a very limited support infrastructure available in those small towns and any help from us will be greatly appreciated this Christmas. At Christmas, Helping Hands aims to give each affected family member a toy/gift and a family food pack.
